Medium-sized manufacturers are constantly finding ways to measure, manage and improve their business processes, especially thanks to digitization. The goals, however, have remained largely the same: increased efficiency, reduced costs, reduced competition and entry into new markets. These objectives are also becoming increasingly important as manufacturers establish new business models, such as “equipment as a service.
New research from the SAP Insights Research Center shows that leading manufacturers are adapting their approaches to be more sustainable and more proactive in mitigating risk. Respondents also addressed the priorities, opportunities and threats they face now and in the near future, as well as their transformation plans for increased profitability and competitiveness.
