Everything was prepared to perfection, and yet it always remains an exciting moment: the going live of SAP S/4HANA.
November 1 was the day: going live at Royal De Kuyper. The weeks before, extensive testing had taken place and the master data had been prepared. That day everything had to come together in the new system: loading the master data, transferring the stock and inserting the correct financial data. The check that everything is in place. A GO from the steering committee to move forward. And then the big moment of the first order through the new system.
Dick Verburg: “As a project manager, I have supervised more than 35 go-lives and yet this remains an exciting moment. This is the moment you live towards with the entire project team. It is very nice when what you have conceived and developed together works in practice. And it did: it was a successful go-live.’
Of course this was celebrated together with the entire project team of key users, management, change owners and steering committee, with snacks as well as cocktails.
